OVERVIEW
TRILLIUM LAKE DAM RENTAL LOCATIONS
To access Trillium Lake, a $10 fee is required unless you have a valid Annual NW Forest Pass.
Note: Other passes are not accepted, including the National Forest Recreation Day Pass, America the Beautiful Pass, and National Parks Pass.
How to Find Us:
- Pay the entrance fee at the gate (or display your NW Forest Pass).
- Continue straight past the Day Use concessionaire on Trillium Lake Road.
- Drive until you reach the Trillium Lake Dam and park there.
- From the dam, walk down to the lake.
- Once at the lake, take the trail to the right (heading clockwise around the lake).
- Walk about 30 feet, and you'll find our Rental Structure just up the trail.
HOURS OF OPERATION
Monday – Thursday: 11 am – 5:45 pm
Friday: 11 am – 6:45 pm
Saturday & Sunday: 10 am – 6:45 pm
We stop renting at EXACTLY 5:46, or 6:46 pm, no exceptions!
All rentals are due back at the latest an hour and 15 minutes after the closing time listed above.

ALL DRIVERS MUST CARRY A VALID DRIVERS LICENCE WHILE ON THE TRAILS. The Forest Service patrols the trails just like the highways. -
Tour reservations must be made and accompanied by an adult with a valid driver's license that is over 21 years old. -
The driver of each snowmobile must be at least 16 years old with a valid driver’s license and weigh at least 100 lbs. Minors are not allowed to drive. -
In order to have a passenger on board drivers must be at least 18 years old. -
Passengers must be at least 8 years old 48" in height. NO EXCEPTIONS! -
Recommended weight limit on a double seat machine is 350 lbs. and drivers will need to weigh more than the passenger. If there is too much weight on the machines, the shocks will be absorbed and it will be very bumpy and uncomfortable for the person riding on the back. It can also cause additional wear and damage to the machines.
What To Bring
Snow pants and jacket, waterproof mid-layers, socks and hat, waterproof gloves and boots, neck warmer or face mask, hand sanitizer, water, snacks. Optional hand & toe warmers, change of clothes.
what to wear
You will want to dress for a day on the snow, just like you were going skiing or snowboarding. We recommend water resistant/waterproof coat, pant, boots, and gloves. If you do not have the proper gear, we do have limited supplies of boots and outerwear items at our shop. We do not rent gloves but we have gloves for sale.
We provide helmets for all trips. If you have your own helmet that you prefer to wear, it must be one that is approved by the Department of Transportation (DOT). You cannot wear a ski or bike helmet while snowmobiling.

No, but we do not typically run out of equipment!
No, but we do offer 24-hour-long rentals at Trillium Lake for $200-$400 depending on the type of watercraft and day of the week.
Weekends and warmer weather days are the busiest. It is also typically busiest between 12 pm - 4 pm. We have a high turnover rate of our watercraft as most guests rent for 1 hour; so, if you show up and there is nothing available you will likely be able to wait for 30 minutes to an hour maximum for a rental.
